This policy explains what information Re-Q and req-audio.com collect when you purchase, activate, or contact us about the Software, and what we do with it. We collect the minimum needed to process your purchase, issue and validate your license key, and respond to support requests.
Purchase information: when you buy Re-Q, we receive your email address and a payment reference ID from our payment processor, Stripe. We store these alongside your generated license key and the purchase date, so your key can be validated and, if needed, recovered.
Support requests: if you use the contact form, the email address and message you provide are sent to our support inbox. We do not store these in our database - they only exist as the email itself.
License validation: when Re-Q checks for updates or downloads a new version, it sends your license key to our server to confirm it's valid.
We never see or store your payment card details. Those are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor.
We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts on req-audio.com.
Your email and payment reference are used to generate and issue your license key, verify purchases, process refunds, and contact you about changes to these policies or your purchase. Support form submissions are used only to respond to your request.
We rely on the following services to run req-audio.com and process your purchase. Each processes data under their own privacy policies:
Stripe - payment processing and checkout.
Cloudflare - website hosting and our database/file storage.
EmailJS - relays support form submissions to our inbox.
iCloud Mail - hosts our support inbox at [email protected].
Purchase records (email, payment reference, license key) are kept for as long as your license remains valid, so it can continue to be verified and recovered. Support form messages are not retained beyond your and our email history.
License keys are generated using a server-side secret, and access to purchase records is restricted to what's needed to run req-audio.com. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't collect more than we need in the first place.
You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting [email protected]. Deleting your purchase record will invalidate your license key.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. You will be notified of material changes via email at least a week before they take effect.
This policy is governed by the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
